Flexible Cancellations

  • Cancellation more than 48 hours before departure: If you cancel your ticket over 48 hours prior to departure, you can get a refund minus a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation between 48 hours and 6 hours before departure: A cancellation fee worth 50% of the ticket fare will be charged if you cancel your booking between 48 hours and 6 hours before departure time.
  • Cancellation less than 6 hours before departure or after departure: Greyhound has a strict policy for cancellations less than 6 hours before the scheduled departure time or after departure. No refunds will be given for such cancellations. Exceptional cases may be considered on merit.
  • Schedule changes by Greyhound: If Greyhound makes a significant change to the departure time (more than 2 hours), you will have the option to get a full refund or to reschedule your trip with no fee applied.
  • Illness or death: In case of illness or death of the passenger, immediate family member, or traveling companion, Greyhound will consider refunding tickets on provision of appropriate official documentation, such as a death certificate or doctor's note. Any refunds in these situations are made at Greyhound’s discretion.
  • No Show: If you do not cancel your trip, do not show up for the trip, or arrive after the bus has left, it will be considered a "no show" and you will lose the full fare of the ticket.
  • Insurance Claim: If travel insurance has been purchased and the cancellation is due to reasons covered by your insurance, you may be able to claim a full refund from your insurance company - dependant on their terms and conditions.

  • Each passenger is allowed 2 checked luggage items not exceeding 80cm x 60cm x 30cm in size.
  • The combined weight of the two items should not exceed 30kg.
  • Any additional luggage beyond this limit will be subject to additional charges.
  • Sporting equipment such as golf bags or bicycles can be transported at an additional charge per item and must be packed in a proper protective bag or case.
  • Baby strollers and other baby items can be transported free of charge in addition to the luggage allowance. They must be collapsibly folded.
