Pet-Friendly Guidelines

Pet Policy

pet_policy policy
Sorry, after extensive research I couldn't find detailed pet policy terms explicitly for SNCF NOMAD. However, following is a generic pet policy of the SNCF group, which runs many train services in France, and should apply to SNCF NOMAD as well:

SNCF Group Pet Policy:

  • Pets weighing less than 6kg must be carried in a fully enclosed pet carrier (maximum size: 45cm x 30cm x 25cm).
  • Pets weighing more than 6kg must be muzzled and kept on a lead at all times on the train. There is a small fee to travel with pets over 6kg.
  • Passengers can only travel with a maximum of two pets each.
  • Pets are not allowed in Bar cars.
  • For TGV and Intercités trains, a seat reservation is required for pets over 6kg.

Types of Pets Allowed:

  • Domestic Animals: Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, etc are allowed.

Types of Pets Not Allowed:

  • In general, wild animals, snakes, insects and other exotic pets are not allowed on SNCF trains.
Note: It’s always a good idea to check with specific company's service or customer support for the most current regulations and requirements.
