  • Here are the key cancellation scenarios and their corresponding refund policies:
    • Cancellation by Sweg:
      • If Sweg cancels a train, passengers are entitled to a full refund.
    • Voluntary Cancellation by Passenger:
      • If a passenger voluntarily cancels their train ticket, the refund amount depends on the time of cancellation:
      • - If canceled up to 48 hours before departure, passengers are entitled to a full refund.
      • - If canceled between 48 hours and 15 minutes before departure, passengers may receive a partial refund or travel voucher, subject to Sweg's discretion.
      • - No refund or travel voucher will be provided for cancellations made less than 15 minutes before departure.
    • Missed Train:
      • If a passenger misses their train due to personal reasons (e.g., late arrival), the ticket is considered unused, and no refund or travel voucher will be provided.
    • Train Delays:
      • If a train is significantly delayed or canceled, passengers may be entitled to compensation or alternative transportation, as per Sweg's delay compensation policy. Contact Sweg's customer service for further assistance.

    • Free Luggage Allowance:
      • Each passenger is allowed to carry a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage.
      • The total weight of all luggage combined must not exceed 30 kilograms (66 pounds).
      • The maximum dimensions for each piece of luggage are 70cm x 50cm x 30cm (27.5in x 19.5in x 11.8in).
    • Extra Taxes on Luggage:
      • If a passenger exceeds the free luggage allowance, additional charges will apply.
      • The extra tax rate for excess luggage is €5 per kilogram (€2.27 per pound).
